Face masks- People wear cotton face masks here. The kids wear them when they're sick. Their's have cute little cartoon pictures on them. Sometimes, when they're not even sick, they put them on as they leave my class to go home. All sorts of people in the street wear them too.
Side dishes- This is the land of side dishes... whether it's at a restaurant, or the lunch ladies delicious lunches that she makes us at school, there are always lots of side dishes to accompany the meal.
Food sharing/ Germ sharing- No problem! They have no issue with using the same chop sticks that have just been in their mouths to dip into the communal side dishes.
Birthdays- They have their birthdays, which is a celebration of the day they were born. But, they turn a year older on New Years day... all of them!
Watch out for motorcycles- The food delivery motorcycles sometimes drive on the sidewalks, and you better watch out, cause they will come really close to you if you're in their way.
Bathing at the gym- I have a gym pass now and me and the other ladies shower out in the open, hot tub and sauna it up totally naked! The towels are as big as large face cloths, and that's it... nudey nude nude.
Stare bears- There are some people who can't seem to take a long enough, hard enough look at us... they (especially the kids) will look wide eyed, mouths gaping, plain old staring... awkward!
